Satyendra Jain News: Satyendra Jain, a minister in the Delhi government and leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, has received a major setback from the court. Satyendar Jain is lodged in Tihar Jail in money laundering case. He had filed a petition in the court to provide special food in the jail. Which has been rejected by the court. In such a situation, Satyendar Jain will no longer get special food in the jail. The court of Special Judge Vikas Dhal has rejected the petition of Satyendar Jain.
Let us inform that a video of Satyendar Jain from Tihar Jail went viral, in which he was seen eating dry fruits in jail. On this, the jail administration has now said that dry fruits are not given to the prisoners in their daily diet. However, considering the health of the prisoners, they are given nutrients.
Satyendra Jain’s lawyer had made this claim
Recently, a CCTV footage of Satyendar Jain eating hotel-like food had come to the fore. In which it is clearly visible that Satyendar Jain is being given special food in the jail. In the viral video, Satyendar Jain is seen eating a lot of food. The way the food has been packaged, it seems that it is a hotel or outside food. Whereas, his lawyer had claimed that he was not getting proper food in the jail.
Earlier, the hearing in this matter was adjourned twice. In the last hearing, the jail administration had told the court that Satyendar Jain did not inform them that he was on a fast. He should have given it in writing. The jail administration had also told the court that they never gave special diet to Satyendar Jain. Rather, they themselves used to buy food and eat it. Regarding the special diet, the jail administration had said that prisoners are given special diet only on religious occasions like Ramzan and Navratri. These include fruits, non-grain food and vegetables.
First I go to temple, then eat something: Satyendra Jain
Satyendar Jain, a minister in the Delhi government, had said in the petition that he was not being allowed to go to the Jain diet and temple in the jail premises. He has said that he does not eat regularly without going to the temple. Every day first he goes to the temple, only after that he eats something. Jain further said that he takes fruit-salad as diet during fasting. He said, going to the temple follows the religious tradition of not eating uncooked food. Due to this, cooked food, grains and milk products are not being consumed in the jail.
