Congress MP Rajni Patil Suspended From Rajya Sabha, MP Said – I Did Nothing, Was Hanged

New Delhi : Congress MP Rajni Ashokrao Patil has been suspended from the Rajya Sabha for the remaining period of the budget session on Friday on charges of parliamentary misconduct. The suspension came after a Congress MP tweeted a video from inside the House, in which opposition MPs were seen protesting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s response to the motion of thanks on Thursday. Rajya Sabha Chairman and Deputy Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar took this matter seriously and called it an unpleasant activity on their part. On the other hand, according to TV channel Aaj Tak, Congress MP Rajni Patil, who spoke on suspension from Rajya Sabha, said that I did nothing, yet was hanged. ,Privileges Committee of Parliament will investigate Chairman Dhankhar said, ‘Yesterday a video related to the proceedings of this House was circulated in the public domain (on Twitter). Rajni Ashokrao Patil was involved in this unhealthy activity and what has been seen. It is a matter on which we should pay attention. The Committee of Privileges will investigate the matter and Patil will remain suspended till the committee submits its report. Dhankhar said that the matter would not be handed over to any outside agency to maintain the sanctity of the Parliament.
