On the other hand, Shelly Oberoi is involved in the race for the post of mayor. For Deputy Mayor, AAP and BJP have fielded Aale Mohammad Iqbal and Kamal Bagri respectively. Along with the mayor and deputy mayor, six members of the standing committee of the MCD are also to be elected.

Oath was administered to the councilors in the second meeting

AAP registered a thumping victory in MCD elections

AAP in MCD elections 104 emerged as the single largest party with councilors while the BJP 69 Seats were won. Congress had won nine seats.
