Farooq Abdullah, Elected Unopposed President Of NC, Said – Boycotting Panchayat Elections In 2018 Was A Big Mistake

Srinagar: Farooq Abdullah, who was once again elected unopposed as the President of the National Conference (NC), said on Monday that the year 2018 Boycotting the panchayat elections held in 2014 was a ‘big mistake’ and the party should participate in every election in Jammu and Kashmir in future. Along with this, Farooq Abdullah warned the government and security forces not to interfere in the election process in any way. The former Union minister had recently expressed his desire to step down from the post due to his health reasons in the party meeting.

For any election in future Will not boycott After being elected, Abdullah said that he wanted to leave the post, so that the youth would lead the party. He said that he was persuaded to continue in this post, because we are going through very difficult times. Addressing the session of National Conference representatives, Abdullah said that I want to say that the boycott of the Panchayat elections (77) by the party, That was a huge mistake. Remember that we will not boycott any upcoming elections. Instead will fight to win them (elections). In this session, Abdullah was elected unopposed as the President of the National Conference.

Farooq elected Umar The advice given to fight Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had announced that he will not contest the elections as long as Jammu and Kashmir remains a Union Territory. In this context, he said that being the party president, I instruct you (Omar Abdullah) that you have to contest the elections. Abdullah warned the security forces and the government to avoid any interference in the elections to be held in Jammu and Kashmir. He said let the people decide whom to vote for. Otherwise such a storm will come, which you will not be able to control. Along with this, the National Conference leader threatened to agitate in case of irregularities in the elections. He said that we are ready to sacrifice our lives. Farooq Abdullah will be the first person, who will start a movement against it.
