Indore: Not A Leopard But A Wild Tomcat Had Entered The Colony, Forest Department Got Pugmarks

They saw footprints there and the officers came to the conclusion that it was not a leopard but a wild tomcat that had entered the colony. The video of the animal entering the colony was made viral on social media by the residents. After getting information about this, the forest department sent a staff to the spot. After searching for three hours, pugmarks were found at one place, in which it was found to be the footprints of a wild cat. Residents heaved a sigh of relief after coming to know of this. Leopards in the township built around the bypass for the last three days. The forest department was getting information about the activities of the security personnel in Sampat Hills also saw an animal in the colony. When the CCTV cameras of the colony were searched, an animal was visible in one of the cameras, which looked like a small leopard. As soon as the senior officials of the Forest Department came to know about this, the team reached for searching. Due to darkness, the forest workers could not find anything. On Thursday again the team started searching from place to place in the township. Claw marks were found at one place. Based on that, the team assumed that the footprints were of a wild cat. DFO Narendra Pandwa told that on seeing the footage and pugmark, it has been found to be a wild badger. The fingerprints were also examined by the experts. Let us tell you that there is Ralamandal area behind the bypass and many times wild animals are seen. Last week a jackal also entered the colony. I
