A bench of Justice MR Shah and Justice CT Ravikumar remanded the matter back to the High Court and directed it to decide the issue within four weeks. The bench said that all these appeals are accepted. The order granting anticipatory bail passed by the High Court is set aside. All cases are sent back to the High Court to decide them afresh on their merits. The court made no comment on the merits for either side. ,Supreme Court asks High Court to decide the pleas of accused afresh within four weeks. Supreme Court directs that accused shall not be arrested for five weeks.

The bench said that ultimately the High Court has to pass the order. We request the court to decide the anticipatory bail petitions at the earliest within 4 weeks from the date of this order. The Apex Court said that till then as an interim arrangement and without prejudice to the rights, it is directed that for a period of 5 weeks and till the matter relating to custody on bail applications by the High Court In case the final decision is not taken, the defendants cannot be arrested subject to co-operation in the investigation.
