court new – photo: istock Expansion MP High Court has shown strictness on the encroachment case. For non-removal of encroachments, a fine has been ordered on the Corporation Commissioner and the CEO. Explain that a contempt petition was filed against the encroachment not being removed from Pantinaka-Barela road in Jabalpur. During the hearing, a division bench of Chief Justice Ravi Vijay Malimath and Justice Vishal Mishra found that encroachments have not been removed from the said road despite giving several opportunities. Taking this seriously, the Jugalpeeth has imposed a fine of ten thousand rupees on the Municipal Corporation Commissioner and Barela Chief Executive Officer. In the contempt petition filed by RK Singh Saini, Vice Chairman of MP State Advocates Council and President of District Advocates Association It was said that since 2021 a Public Interest Litigation was presented in the High Court against the encroachment. Hearing which the court had passed orders to remove the encroachment. No action was taken in compliance of the order passed by the court. Due to this encroachment is increasing day by day. It was stated in the contempt petition that on the said road Feet wide and footpath was also to be constructed, but the shopkeepers are setting up shop on the road itself. Due to which the people coming out of the road park their vehicles on the same road and buy vegetables, fruits, gutkha-paan etc., due to which the traffic is highly affected and the traffic problem increases. The dirt caused by encroachment is also dumped on the side of the same road. Due to which pollution is increasing day by day. On which the court had ordered the municipal commissioner and Barela CMO in the year 2021 to remove the encroachment and clear the road for traffic. But till date no action has been taken to remove the encroachment. Despite giving several opportunities, the couple has imposed fine on the concerned officials for non-implementation of the order.
