Jabalpur: Prohibition On Recovery From Employee's Widow, CAT Issued Notice Seeking Response From Non-Applicants

court new – photo: istock Expansion The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) has stayed the order regarding the recovery of ten lakhs from the pension of Omshankar Yadav (now late), a retired railway employee. A single bench of CAT’s judicial member Akhil Kumar Srivastava issued notice to the non-applicants in the matter and directed them to submit their reply within four weeks. Please tell that in the petition filed on behalf of Savitri Bai and her sons, resident of Raisen Obedullaganj, it was said that her husband Om Shankar Yadav 1654245090 had retired from the post of Cabin Master under West Central Railway Department. After which he continued to receive pension till November . After this, according to the calculation of the Seventh Pay Commission by the Senior Divisional Finance Manager of West-Central Railway, Jabalpur, from Omshankar Yadav 2004 lakh 2 thousand 414 for recovery of Rs. 03 Orders for monthly installments were passed. Retired Omshankar Yadav gave many complaints to the Railway Department, after that year 2021 he died in. After which the petitioner gave several applications to the Railway Department to stop the recovery, but no action was taken. Eventually Kat was sheltered. While giving interim relief, the court has banned the recovery and directed the non-applicant railway department and others to submit their reply in four weeks.
