Jammu And Kashmir: Explosion Near Sidhra Bridge Checking Point, Search Operation Continues, Stockpile Of Explosives Recovered

Explosives recovered in Uri: Earlier on Tuesday, security forces seized ammunition and explosives in Uri sector of Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir. Stock has been recovered. A police spokesman said that on the basis of information received by the army and the police jointly cordoned off Charunda village of Uri sector near the Line of Control and launched a search operation there. He said, during the search operation, the team recovered a cache of ammunition including 200 AK-200 bullets, eight Chinese grenades and IED material. A case has been registered in Uri police station regarding the incident. The matter is being investigated.
