What Delhi Police said : According to the information given by Delhi Police, Mehrauli Police has solved the 6-month-old case and found pieces of Shraddha’s murder. Aftab Poonawalla has been arrested on the charge of carrying and throwing it in different areas. Police said that the couple fell in love while working in Mumbai and moved to Delhi after opposition from their families. The girl was murdered after pressuring her for marriage.

Couples used to quarrel often : Police further told that the couple used to quarrel often. The accused killed the girl after losing his temper. The accused told us that he cut her into pieces and threw the parts in the surrounding areas. Police has arrested the accused and further investigation is on. Both met through a dating app. Also lived in live-in relationship in Mumbai.
