MP High Court: Instructions Have Been Issued To Follow The Guidelines Passed In Nirbhaya Case, Petition Dismissed

Expansion A petition has been filed in the High Court against the non-compliance of the order passed by the Supreme Court in the Nirbhaya case regarding the hearing of rape, POCSO and other cases. It states that the hearing of such cases in the High Court is broadcast on YouTube. Dismissing the petition, a pair bench of Chief Justice Ravi Vijay Kumar Malimath and Justice Vishal Mishra said in its order that instructions have been issued in the past for the implementation of the guidelines issued by the Supreme Court. If the petitioner has any objection, he can make a representation. In the petition filed on behalf of Gwalior’s advocate Sangeeta Pachauri, it has been said that the cases of Nirbhaya and Arpana Bhatt In the Supreme Court has issued orders that the name and identity of the victims should not be revealed in other cases including rape, POCSO, molestation. Doing so has been considered an offense under Section 354 D. It has been said in the petition that the hearing of such cases in the High Court is broadcast on YouTube. The remarks made during the hearing are recorded and made viral on social media. The identity of the victim comes to the fore due to online hearings. In the petition, PR and IC Cell Gwalior High Court, Principal Secretary Home Department, DGP and SP Gwalior have been made non-applicants. The couple’s bench dismissed the petition after hearing on Friday. ,
