Expansion The Jabalpur district court on Tuesday gave its verdict in the case of murder in Surkhi police station area of Sagar district a decade and a half ago. The court has sentenced one of the accused of murder to life imprisonment. The court of ADJ Arun Pratap Singh has also imposed a fine of three thousand on the accused.
Accused Saubhagya Singh father Saheb Singh Thakur along with his accomplices became a lawyer. was murdered. On which the lawyers there refused to fight the case of the accused. After which the matter was heard in the Jabalpur Court with the permission of the High Court on the application given by the accused. The prosecution told the court that accused Saubhagya Singh, a resident of Sagar Khurai, along with his accomplices Lalit Singh, Raghunath Saheb Singh and Together with Rinku October 415 had attacked Raghuraj with weapons. His nephew Raghavendra was also with him at that time. Old enmity was behind the incident. Raghuraj, who was a lawyer by profession, was killed in the attack. Angry over the incident, the Sagar Advocates Association had decided not to fight the case of the accused. After which the matter was transferred to Jabalpur Court with the permission of the High Court, where 25 January 2012 the remaining accused were punished, but accused Saubhagya Singh was absconding. After perusing the whole case, the court convicted the accused Saubhagya Singh and sentenced him to life imprisonment and a fine of three thousand rupees.
