The caller illegally demanded ransom after calling and said that if the money is not given, he will kill him. Police have registered the case late night on the complaint of the businessman. This is the third case in the last one month of threatening another businessman including the bullion trader of the city.
According to the Manak Chowk police station, the complaint of the incident was made by Rakesh Saklecha, a bullion businessman resident of Ghans Bazar. Rakesh told in the complaint that on the night of February 7, he had received a call from a mobile number. Calling his name as Pawan, the caller hurled abuses while demanding one lakh rupees and threatened to kill him if he did not give the money. In connection with the incident, the police have registered the case on Wednesday night and now they are trying to trace the accused on the basis of mobile number.
Earlier also in the city, Atul Agarwal, a resident of Chandni Chowk under Manak Chowk, had also complained. A person named Ajay alias Ajju Pahalwan had also demanded money illegally by abusing him on the phone. Along with this, another case was complained by a person named Hasan, a resident of Sutaron Ka Vaas. In this, the victim had accused Rehan Lal, a resident of Javra, of being threatened. From that also a demand of two lakh rupees was made by the accused. If the money was not given, the accused had threatened to shoot the victim, saying that he would keep drugs at the place where he does construction work. In both these cases the police had taken action. ,
