According to Gohalpur police station in-charge Vijay Tiwari, around 12 in the morning The metro bus was coming towards Damohnaka with passengers from Adhartal. The signal at Damohnaka had a red light and the bus was moving ahead hitting an e-rickshaw, a car and a motorcycle. The bus came to a halt as the motorcycle got stuck in the wheels.

When the angry people reached near the incident, they saw that the driver Hardev Paul was lying unconscious and kept his head on the steering wheel. People picked him up and brought him to Metro Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. It was told that he died of a heart attack. Due to the attack on the driver Hardev in the moving bus, he lost control of the bus and the bus became uncontrollable. Here the bus hit the vehicles stopped at the red light.
