MP News: Lance Naik, Doing Central Ordnance Store Duty, Shot Himself With INSAS Rifle, Admitted In Critical Condition

Detail Lance Naik, who was on duty at the QRT barrack of the Central Ordnance Store, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, shot himself with an INSAS rifle. He has been admitted to the hospital for treatment due to bullet injury in his throat. The condition of Lance Naik remains critical.

According to Ranjhi police station in-charge Sahdev Ram Sahu, Bilaspur resident Dipesh Yadav was posted as Lance Naik in COD. This morning, while on duty at COD’s QRT barrack, he shot himself with his own INSAS rifle at 5 am. Due to bullet injury in the throat, he was taken to the Military Hospital for immediate treatment. Due to his critical condition, he has been referred to the Medical College Hospital.

TI Sahu told that Lance Naik used to live alone in the government quarters. He had returned from leave days back. He shot himself, possibly to commit suicide. The real reason will be known only after investigation. ,
