This bridge covers the distance from the city to the village in just two meters. If the bridge is not used, the villagers have to take a detour of two kilometres. People have many times demanded the government to convert the kutcha bridge into a pucca bridge. Actually we are talking about village Dhap Tola of District Panchayat Sohagpur adjacent to Shahdol divisional headquarter. The residents of this place have been begging for basic facilities since independence. The city is a few steps away from here, but the drain has become an obstacle. The villagers have made a bamboo bridge by juggling, through which the whole village travels to the city. There is no confidence when the bamboo bridge will break, but the compulsion is such that one has to cross it risking life. The situation worsens in the rains. Not that this is the only way to go to the city. There is another way which leads to the city by going around two kilometers. The villagers are resorting to bamboo bridge to avoid such a distance. many times demand but no one listens
