Surgical Strike: 'The Question Is Not On The Army, The Doubt Is On The Government', Digvijay's Clarification On The Surgical Strike Statement

Digvijay Singh – Photo: PTI Expansion Congress leader Digvijay Singh has clarified on the surgical strike statement. Responding to former army officer Praveen Davar’s tweet, he said that no one is questioning our armed forces. Many actions of this government are going to raise doubts. There are many questions whose answers have not been given by the government. Responding to former army officer Praveen Davar’s tweet, Digvijay Singh said that there have been incidents like Pathankot, where The ISI was called in to investigate. Pulwama attack, Galwan incident has raised many doubts on this government. There is no question of asking my questions to the defense officials. My question is to the Modi government. I respect military officers. Two of my sisters are married to Navy officers. Digvijay Singh said that the first question- our CRPF jawans were martyred and who is responsible for the unforgivable intelligence failure? Second question- From where could the terrorists 40 bring kg RDX? Third question- Why were requests from CRPF to airlift CRPF jawans rejected? Fourth question- Pulwama Deputy SP Davinder Singh was caught by the Jammu and Kashmir Police along with the terrorists, why was he released? Fifth question- Terrorist activities are very high in Pulwama, so why were more vehicles not checked in the area there? Digvijay Singh said that this is my legitimate question to the Modi government. Am I not entitled to know the facts as a responsible citizen? Who has been punished for these serious lapses? In any other country the Home Minister would have had to resign. Rahul and Congress have been made by Digvijay’s statement distance
In a public meeting during the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir, Digvijay Singh said, ‘They talk about surgical strikes. They claim to have killed so many people, but no proof is given. They are ruling by running a bundle of lies. The Congress has made a formal distance from this statement. Head of media department Jairam Ramesh said that the party does not agree with this. On Tuesday, Rahul Gandhi said that “I do not agree at all with what Digvijay Singh said. It is his personal statement. We have full faith in our army. If the army does something, then they do not need to give proof. His statement is personal. He is not ours.” ,
